Triduums of Our Lady
A Rosary Triduum
FIRST DAY
May every tongue proclaim thy glory, O Lady, may evening join with morning in the concert of our praises! May every nation call thee blessed, and may every shore of earth and every mansion of the skies reecho thy praise! I too shall salute thee as thrice blessed with the angels and principalities; thrice blessed I shall proclaim thee with the angelic powers, with the Virtues of heaven, with the supernal Dominations; most blessed I shall hail thee with the Thrones, the Cherubim and the Seraphim.
Say the five Joyful Mysteries.
SECOND DAY
O blessed beads of Mary, sweet chains that bind us to God, bond of love uniting us to the angels, tower of safety against the assaults of hell, secure haven for the shipwrecked children of Adam, never shall we abandon you. In the hour of our death you shall be our consolation, and to our lips we shall press you when life is ebbing away. May the last accents of our dying lips breathe forth thy sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary, thou refuge of sinners and sovereign consoler of the sorrowful.
Say the five Sorrowful Mysteries.
THIRD DAY
O crown of the Rosary of my Mother, I hold thee to my heart and in my hand and press thee to my lips with veneration. Thou art the way to the attainment of every virtue, the treasure of merit for Paradise, the pledge of my predestination, the strong chain to bind the enemy, the font of peace to all who honor thee in life, the promise of victory to those who kiss thy beads in death. In that last moment, I will look for thee, O Mother. Thy coming will be the signal of my salvation; thy Rosary will open for me the gates of heaven.
Say the five Glorious Mysteries.
A Triduum For Any Feast Day of The Blessed Virgin Mary
With what names shall I invoke thee, O white dove of peace? With what titles shall I honor thee whom the holy Doctors have named the Lady of creation, the gateway to life, the temple of God, the palace of light, the saint of saints, the miracle of miracles, the paradise of the Most High? Thou art the treasurer of graces, all powerful supplication, and God's mercy sent down upon the suffering. But the title Queen of the Rosary is also dear to thy heart. Addressing thee by this name, I feel at once its mystic beauty. O Rose of Paradise, thou dost sweeten the exile of the mourning chil- dren of Eve. Red Rose of charity, by thy heavenly perfume more fragrant far than all the aromas of Libanus thou dost win the hearts of sinners to the Heart of God. Thou art the Rose eternally fair and untarnished, bedewed by heavenly waters and planted in the garden of delights of the Lord. Praised be God who has made thy name so admirable and has filled the earth with thy kindness!
Say one or more parts of the Rosary.
